The Heart Behind Our Work, Mission, & Community
Our Mission
To walk alongside vulnerable girls in Sierra Leone — providing physical safety, family, and the hope of Jesus — until each one is self-sustaining and deeply loved.
Our Vision
A Sierra Leone where every girl is seen as a blessing, raised in a loving family, and grows into a woman who knows her God-given worth.
Our Statement of Faith
We believe every child is made in the image of God and deserves to be loved as such. Our work is rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith is not a program we offer — it is the foundation everything else is built on.
How It Began
It Started with One Girl Named Princess
Princess was a young girl in Sierra Leone whose story stopped our founder in her tracks. She was vulnerable, unseen, and without a family to call her own. Out of that moment, a promise was made — and an organization was born. We exist because of her, and because of every girl who shares her story.
On the Ground
Rooted in Sierra Leone, Led by Sierra Leoneans
We believe change is strongest when it comes from within.
Our work in Sierra Leone is carried out by local staff who know these communities, speak the languages, and love these girls as their own. We partner with the government and trusted families to keep children out of institutions and in homes where they can truly belong. This is not distant charity. It is close, committed care.
Our Sierra Leone Team
Princess Promise is led by a team of people who believe deeply in this work — on the ground in Sierra Leone.
